Canon IR C5535 secondary cleaner color

Hi

I notice that OPC for Canon IR C5535 have two different OPC. There is type with white secondary cleaning system and type with black secondary system. Is there any service bulletin about this change? Why they change color of foam? For sure, I see that foam on black cleaning system is worm out and I see problem on printout.
Both OPC print around 150k. The white roller perform well but black is totally bad. What can be problem? I change very often OPC with black cleaner but when I bay new OPC, sometimes I get one type and sometime I get another type...

Is it OEM toner and drum units?

Hi, everything is OEM. Box is same and they coming from same dealer which is in Germany. It is strange that there is two types of OPC. I cannot fine any information about this upgrade-change.

I have read it somewhere here that the charging roller cleaner was updated , the previous was the black and newer version is the yellow .

It is the same with imagepress c600 all the drums have yellow cleaner.

They clean the charging roller better which longer the drum life .

If you have any old 50 series or 52 series drum units which were shorter life expectancy, some of them have the same style cleaner roller.
You can harvest these rollers and swap them into the longer life 55 series units and clean up the charge roller, thus getting longer life from the unit.
The beauty of the new units is that the page life is kept on the chip on each unit so if you swap it into another machine after you have changed the roller, it's page count goes with it, so you still know the exact life of the drum/photoconductor.

"If" I remember correctly on 50/52 series the lower speed machine's drum units(30,35 ppm) had a different cleaner roller than the higher speed(45,52,etc), Or black Edrum had different. Not near any to check

It is clear that they make change, I just don't know what was change. Maybe was a running change so they still selling old type of OPC units. I wonder, when change come..
