Canon C5535i service password reset

I purchased this copier from a wholesaler and when I tried to go into service modes (*28*) a screen came up certification (system administrator) looking for a SYS Manager ID and password. I put in 7654321 for both and pressed ok, then another screen came up enter password. I tried 7654321 and also 1234567 and it didn't let me in. I have never seen this before and wonder if this is set up by service tech and how do I delete it? I am going to try to install new system software but wonder if there is another way.

You can try clear pwd or clear all ram

Don't you do that from the service menu? I can't get to the service menu.

Press * 17 39 *
Select point 1 to clear, and restart your machine
