This probably not a typical question asked here, but I use a storage unit for keeping a few copiers and my parts in. Up until now they have allowed me to plug the copier into their outlet so I can test the copier before delivering to my customer. It's only a few times a month I might need the electricity. Is anyone familiar with portable power units that could run say a Canon C5535 for time it takes to check for jamming and other functions. Other than checking for jamming and cq it would only be needed to update software and settings. Canon specs say 120v ac 60hz, 10a 1800w max, 65 w standby. Is standby sleep mode?
Odd question

There was a time when the roof collapsed on my shop and I had to work temporarily out of another building with no electricity. I already had a Honda EU2000 portable generator (up to 2000 watts), so I used that. It worked great on small and mid-size machines. It's a bit pricey though. Any similar sized generator would work, but I would get one with a built in inverter (like the EU2000) so you get clean/stable electricity and don't risk damaging the machines.
