[Misc] Need ImagePress C1 IP address to use Remote Operation Viewer

I have an ImagePress C1 that occasionally had some touch screen issues many years back, and I used the Canon Remote Operation Viewer so I could get an image of the touch screen on my Q1 RIP screen and select it's functions with the mouse.

I am in need of that function again, and when I start the program, it says to enter the IP address of the machine, but I can't remember the address I used. It's not the address of the Q1, I tried that.

Do all C1's have a fixed IP address, or is there a way to find out what the IP address of my C1 is?

It was working at one time, so I know the software was purchased and installed on that machine.

You didn't print out the network pages?
    What about config pages?

I did print out the config pages and went over every line prior to my post - it just showed the network info for the Q1. I searched a long time for the IP for the C1, but found nothing - both through the Q1 and searching on my other C1 that has the good screen.

If you’re referring to the connection between the RIP and the printer, it’s either 10.255.255.1 or 10.255.255.2.

The 2 devices use those 2 addresses, I just don’t remember which one uses which address.

But like Skynet said, Wireshark will quickly show it; just connect and boot the machine with Wireshark running.

YES YES YES! 10.255.255.2 was the answer! I knew it was something like that, but could not remember the exact address.
I was able to log in and now I can control the screen from the RIP. So I have a little breathing room while I get a new touch panel to get the screen working again.
            THANK YOU!
