C3200 freezes 20 seconds after booting up

After the "Wait"/boot-up screen is finished, and it goes to the initial copy screen, it works fine until 20 seconds pass by, and all of the keys/touch-screen are unresponsive, it just totally freezes up.

No error codes or anything, what can this be? it's a c3200 with c1.

Do you have an imagepass connected to the machine? Ooops re-read and answered my own question. Reseat the open interface PCB, you may need to replace it. I would also make sure all versions are up to date.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

Also if anyone cleared MMI you may need to go in and tell it there is an imagepass attached, even if img_cont reads 3 re-enter it. Let me know if that helps.

That did it! I just set it to 0 then back to 3. Thanks! it was a bit tricky as i had a small window of time to go into service mode and search for it before it froze.

        Thanks again!

Glad you got into service. There's a way around it if you couldn't, but it would mean more work.

on somewhat of a different note, my coworker told me he cleared the MMI because it wouldn't print anything via IP printing. So we uninstalled the C1 via service mode, changed all of the network settings, and still it won't print. It receives the print jobs, the sorter tray moves then nothing happens. I looked at the print log and they're all there, but it says the result is "NG #853". what is this 853 error?

So what I am gathering you disconected the C1 and are trying to print directly to the copiers NIC card. If so you will have to use the UFR driver. The only way to get PS and PCL is by installing the Multi PDL kit and an "N" style boot ROM.

i put the C1 back on, and tried to troubleshoot the c1, i'm pretty sure someone messed up some of the settings while they were trying to troubleshoot the whole IP printing issue. I got fed up and i just set it back to factory settings, then went through the whole setup again. a little tedious...but it was taking too much of my time during this past week. But all in all, it seems to have done the trick, print jobs are being processed finally.

                  Thanks again everyone.
