    [Jamming] ImagePress C600 and C800

    Evening all,

I am getting a jam code 0118 related to PS26(Duplex sensor 3). It is a delay jam
I have so far checked the sensor and both duplex motors in service mode and all OK. Cleaned the bearings and bushings for the duplex section as well.
Seems to be just a duplex issue...simplex is working well.

Any thoughts? I have run out of ideas myself.

    Thanks in advance

    Ben

Jam codes 0118 and 0119 occur when duplexing 215.9mm x 279.4m (letter paper).
Jam codes 0213 and 0218 occur when duplexing 11x17 or 279.4mm x 431.8mm (larger paper).
    • 0118: Duplex Sensor 3 (PS26) DELAY
    • 0119: Duplex Sensor 4 (PS27) DELAY
    • 0213: Reverse Vertical Path Upper Sensor (PS34) STNRY
    • 0218: Reverse Vertical Path Lower Sensor (PS26) STNRY

215.9mm x 355.6mm (legal size paper) was not tested.
The lead edge of the paper is stopped before PS26 or PS27. The paper is not wrinkled, folded or damaged in any way.
The duplex Feed Rollers, Follower Rollers, Reversal Assembly, Reversal Assembly Door and Fixing/Feed Driver PCB replaced without resolve.

    [Remedy]

Reduced pressure on the right duplex drive roller belt for resolve.
Follow the steps below for adjustment:
    • Remove front covers from the Fixing/Feed Drawer Assembly.
    • Remove the 2nd Transfer Assembly and Registration Assembly.
    • Below the Fixing/Feed Driver PCB is a round cut out in the front frame of the Fixing/Feed Drawer that allows access to the right duplex drive belt pressure adjustment locking screw.
    • Loosen the locking screw and reduce the pressure by moving it to the left (just a little) and then tighten the screw to lock down the position. Ensure the pressure is not too loose by checking belt tension.[A]: Right Duplex Drive Belt Tension Locking Screw

Hello, it gets stuck in all types of paper, have you tried thick paper?

        Hello ,

I guess your printer is with high Counter which makes this is a normal issue. Adjusting the belt pressure is not good, it will work on certain type of paper only. if set properly to thin media , it will jam on thick media and vise versa.

You need to replace all the gears for the duplex assembly , along with the two belts . followers and feeding rollers. Mainly motors doesn't fail so no need to replace them.

you might also check this part FM0-4922-000.

Hi Ben, We have had issues like that before also but it was more on the side of rollers not set right or worn up stream, I would check if anything was bent and clean the rollers with something like acetone if you havent already ans blow out all sensors.. good luck
