Canon IR2016i Finisher cover open

Hi friends i have a canon ir2016i with a message finisher cover open. I have checked the switch and connectors with no avail. Can anyone shed some light on this issue.

Did you try reseating connectors on dc controller. If I was you I would ask what was done before any message was alerted, was there a jam was the finisher cover open by certain person. You said you check switches, are you referring to the sensors. Sometimes they can get knocked out of place.

Please don't hide what was done to the machine before the problem arose. I can guess you or someone attempted to install the finisher and didn't knew where to put some connectors. If that is it, the cause is a 2-pin connect from a board on the back to the ps board; pse state whether the problem is still on so that I can go to details.

Hey Guys, this machine was working fine with this finisher installed a year ago, i got the call from the customer indicating that the machine is saying close the finisher cover, there are no out of place sensors niether the connectors. Am guessing its the dc controller.

Have you tried swapping the door sensor with another sensor in the machine to see if the issue moves?
