    IRC3380 OHP sensor

I have a Canon IRC3380, this machine was working fine, until we had a hurricane 7 months ago which devestated the islands infrastructure, this machine after the storm worked fine after it was checked for any water damage. Now several months later.

I have an error code, which indicates that the OHP sensor needs to be replace. is there anotherway of solving this problem? as this machine is only 9 months old.

Maybe its not bad, have you've check the connector and wire harness, cut wire ties.

I've had the OHP sensor in an iRC2880 throw up an error code and it turned out to have been knocked slightly out of position.
It's been through a Hurricane...i reckon half my bits and pieces would be askew as well

i have checked cabling and sensor position, and so far all is good, during the hurricane the machine was not touched, just slight water damage to the rear of machine but that was reapired, and the machine was working, well up until a few days ago, so I was making sure I checked all my bases and get a second opinion, as i am, well the only copier tech on the island where I am living.

I have other machines that were totally soaked and are now working without a problem, actually I have a Ir2200 which before the stom would give numerous problems, machine was wash during the hurricane and is now working without a problem now for 4 months. it just needed a washing
