[Error Code] ImagePress C800 - E029-6021

Hi all,

I have an imagepress C800 that is giving me the above error.
I have done the following:

• Cleaned ALL the patch sensors although it only points to Magenta
• Checked the M drum and developer units - they're OK
• Replaced all the periodically replaced parts in the ITB unit
• Swapped the Registration Driver PCB from a known working machine

Still no resolve in the error though

The client has another C800 that was down because of various other parts needing replacement so I took the whole ITB unit from the above machine and it worked for some time. Did +/-1500 pages and then the same error popped up. Anyone faced a similar problem before?

Would really appreciate some help...Thanks

Check your laser output on the magenta. I have had this where the laser assembly was causing this subcode in the cyan.

@Charm5496 thanks, I will definitely take a look at that. Will come back to you
Someone has suggested that I remove the ITB cleaning unit and check that the Magenta patch is actually being created. Just find it weird that the error moved to the other machine. The one thing I didn't mention is that I took the complete hopper unit from the first E029 error machine and placed it in this one...wonder if that has any bearing on the problem.

I have the same problem that I faced .. with the Canon C800 machine, can you advise me whether the problem has been solved or not, and if it has been solved, what is the cause of the malfunction

you have already stated the issue and its solution , the issue is with the ITB itself .

you have swapped the full ITB assembly and the issue appeared on the other machine so definitely ITB issue .

I have faced ITB issue where it cause color mismatch , even though it looks very good and no print quality issues .

you should replace the ITB , cleaning unit , scrapper , transfer rollers. best of luck

Enter the default values in the service menu
the values are in the front flap
then restart the device

Hi,
try to replace the magenta drum and it developer accordingly.
something, the bias charge roller of the drum might be soiled with toner or bad, also the ATC (automatic toner control) sensor on the developer assembly might be faulty.
