    [Jamming] IRADV4551 - jam code 0B00

    Hi,

weird one, went to this late Friday, located in a school. Machine isnt that old, about 250k on it. Machine boots up as normal, ready to copy, press for a copy/report from engine and the machine picks up the paper, gets to reg sensor then stops, but it doesnt come up with a jam, it just sits there, saying Printing on the screen, it does this until i open the right hand side door and release the paper. This happens from both cassettes and multi pass.

Ive updated the firmware, cleaned the optical sensors, swapped the Right hand side door with another machine. The 0B00 code says open door sensor, but machine will come up ready to copy. Plan is to format the HDD and reload the firmware next week.

    Anyone seen this before?

    thanks

Dont remember the jam code on mine but I just saw something similar this week on a 45 series with a inner finisher. Turned out to be the inlet sensor arm on the finisher was dislodged. If yours has the inner finisher pull the finisher out and remove the one screw that holds the cover over the inlet sensor and snap the sensor arm back into place.

A list of Sensors are displayed

I haven't had this jam for a long time. On older printers, the reason for this jam was lower right door or toner door sensor or bent grounding plate on registration roller.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it
