Canon c850 skewing image on second side

Problem with an imagepress c850 which is skewing/ rotating image only on second side. 2.jpg1.jpg
I have tried to set up using service manual and also the reference guide that canon produced regarding image setup, but to no avail.
first side (which is the second photo) is spot on, but no matter what I do or adjust the image still remains skewed.
This occurs out of all cassettes and and tried different stock. i have also tried increasing the second side reg loop which also didnt work.


the photos show number 1 second side and number 2 first side


Anyone any ideas, or come across this issue - the machine has done about 8 million prints

There could be poor alignement of the rollers on the duplex unit,check the springs and tensions in the duplex.

thanks, just been advised that there is a canon bulletin for the c800 where it says to grease the reverse driven rollers, so will check that at the same time.

Nothing has changed in the duplex, and whatever setting we try it seems to still skew the same amount

Hello, your problem is not something that you have to move some value through the service mode, your problem is something mechanical that you have to see in detail

check the duplex if it is that the paper at one end is pressing it is strong and at the other end the pressure is weak, which makes the sheet enter the register deflected, when it is the duplex.

the images that I will send you are of a c7065 but it should be something similar with a c800

As I say, you have to see the route of the path of the paper when it is in duplex, here I send you other photos, you also have to see the guides or the gate is putting bad pressure on the paper or there is something that causes the paper to deviate when it is in duplex.

Hello , first of all how much is the skew on the back side ? I need values/ photos ? Is the skew have fixed values or random ?

Is it an issue on all type of papers ? .

In my opinion your problem is way far from where you are searching.

Is the skew fixed or random ?

With 8 million prints, the entire duplex group and the inversion group must be overhauled.
Guides included.
Is the paper cut perfectly orthogonally?
