    [Misc] Toner detection issue on IRC3025i and IRC3125i

    Hi,

    After updating these models for chipless toners, we have faced a toner detection issue.
    IRC3025i DCON Version = 14.01
    IRC3125i DCON Version = 13.01

    Any idea is welcome.

    hello can you be more specific, you say toner without chip?

      The original toner cartridge comes with a chip included, if you have bought a compatible toner cartridge without a chip, there will be that detection problem, try to put a chip or the other thing would be to get an original toner cartridge

        Hi, have same problem here (Italy), with same machine iRC3025i.
        New toner sent by Canon does not have chip (chipless). It is not a "compatible one", it's original.
        The problem starts few days ago, while chipless toners had always worked fine in the past 6 months.
        Simpthoms are identical. Upgraded to latest firmware but same issues.

        Cleared DC-CON and restored values printed on label. Worked for a while (50 copies) but then same message.

        Any ideas?

          send a photo of the cartridge on the back of the bottle is the chip, otherwise they should call the supplier to tell you if the printer works without the toner cartridge chip.
          If you get another toner cartridge with a chip and the problem still continues, you should check the contacts of the chip that is at the bottom of the machine where the cartridge chip sits

            Hi,
            Canon has released new firmware which will overcome this issue temporarily until the toners comes with chip again. So update to latest firmware and this will take care.
