[Misc] Canon ImagePress and PRISMA RIP

Wondering if anyone can help or understand this..?!
(not even Canon technicians can help or explain this to us...?)
We have a Canon ImagePress 8000 and use PRISMA RIP
If we run a job that is to be stapled and use different paper for cover and insert,
(eg 130gr for insert and 170gr for cover and use different trays on the printer)
the machine stops and calibrates between insert and cover, which means it takes a long time to print if it should calibrate for each copy!
    Regards

Are you using bypass inserter for preprinted covers? That should be working just fine.
Running inserts and covers from a different trays containing different type and weight of paper could possibly result in calibration each time. Maybe try to set the weight for all pages to 170gm and just tell the printer to grab a cover from a different tray.
