ir2220i - hard drive problem

I have a 2220i that is going through hard drives. I put one in and in a week they call and say it is giving a E602-0001 error, or will not boot up again. I put another hard drive in and in a week, the same thing. I take the machine back to the shop, install a new hard drive, run it for a month, everything is great. Take it back and a week later, E602, or not booting.

What is going on? It is on a surge protector, networked, email is used.

I think I found the problem. When I had the copier at the shop and the hard drive went out, I noticed how HOT is was. Then I noticed that the cassette heater, mirror heater, lens heater switch was turned on. .Also the first time I had it at the shop, I left the back cover off, and just put it back on before delivery. I am hoping this solved the problem. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
