Canon ir C3725 - Darker lines on prints

    Hi everyone,

I'm new to this website and found a lot of useful resources but I can't figure out how to solve my current problem with a Canon ImageRunner C3725. The copier has about 100K prints so far.

When printing pictures, I can see darker lines on the printout as shown below :
    Canon C3725 black lines.jpg

I also had troubles with the fixing unit making marks on the paper so I had to replace it. Lasers below the developing units have been cleaned several times with the brush and while the brush was indeed dirty after cleaning, it did not change the results.

Other tests and actions I tried :
    - no dark lines when printing texts in B&W
    - dark lines appear only on the picture printed but not outside
    - regardless of what picture is printed, the dark lines are always at the same spots
    - when printing the color page test in service mode, dark lines are not very obvious but you can tell it's there
    - I performed the maintenance cleaning from the UI several times with no change
    - Gradation setup has been done
    - I tried to use another type of paper with no change

Any idea of what could cause that and what can I do to solve the issue ?

    Many thanks !

    such a small example.

please reprint then scan to pdf and upload here.

if I had to guess it's one of the drum units.

        Hi again,

I keep testing and printed a full M/C/Y/BK page in half (128/255) and full density (255/255) that you can find attached.

Stripes are clearly visible and are always at the same place.

        Drum life is 70% (C) /70% (M) /70% (Y) / 92% (BK)

Guess I'll have to replace at least the black drum ?
