Network Printing and Scanning to ir2200

I have two IR2200, both fitted with network cards (FG3-1186) and setup with static IP's. I can get into RUI and it says Printer and Scanner OK (green dots). I have downloaded and installed the new ir2200 PCL and also tried PS driver. The install finds the printer, but will not print to it. I have also tried the LPR tool and inputting the copier IP address manually

In the past I have learned that certain tweaks needs doing to the "port" setting like RAW or Queue names etc. to make the printers work.

Can anybody advice what might be wrong here?
The reason for asking is that the supplier of the copier has gone bust and we have no other source for support for the time being.

I also need to get a guide for how to do the scanning, so help with both would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks a million.

Those probably require the print kit.

Try finding the UFR II printer driver, that should solve the problem.
    PING fine?

      need more info

You mentioned that the copiers have network cards in them, but has the bootrom been changed from the "C" to "N" type? Also, has the system software been updated to the network version? Both of these things have to happen in order for you to be able to print to these copiers. Screen shots of the version information would be helpful.

      Additional Function > 2 & 8 together > Additional Function > Copier > Display > Version info.

There are no UFR drivers for iR2200.
UFR drivers are only available for the newer image runners series.

I have now been able to get scanning to work using ScanGear, but still not printing.
They ping and I can access the GUI.
Is there a specific driver set or tweak needed to the driver install to make it work?

Have you tried what was suggested earlier in this thread twice.

              Additional Function > 2 & 8 together > Additional Function > Copier > Display > Version info.

The most important ones are PS/PCL and BOOT-ROM for determining network connectivity for printing. If you can scan, I assume you have a N BOOT-ROM installed and working e.g. if using latest firmware BOOT-ROM will show 26.44N.

For printing look at the PS/PCL item. if it shows something like --.-- then PS/PCL drivers are not installed. Printing will not work without these. Installing the latest networked firmware should fix this problem.

The machine can be pinged but cannot print. When checking the version of PS/PCL in Service Mode>Copier>Display>Version>PS/PCL is there a blank area where the version would normally be displayed.

I'd try and find a source of support soon. You should be able to fix this problem yourself, but problems will emerge that should only be fixed by a technician. Parts such as the drum unit need periodical replacement, let alone any unforeseeable issue that emerges from time to time.
