Magenta Problem with C5235i

We have a customer with a very odd behavior on the machine, they started to claim that some users that when they print the entire sheet turns magenta but for some users it seemed to work, we managed to reproduce it using the auto color calibration and when it does the gradient color test sheet it happens but not in the test with full colors.

I'm very puzzled that it should be a drum issue but we're gonna try change the drum first but wanted to know if someone had issues like this? See attached file

Drum life is 20% and the machine is running the latest firmware for example

We tried replacing the drum and same issue, the fun part when we tried printing out the same type of test page with the gradient colors from service mode it worked, reinstalled the firmware and it solved the issue.

Nothing that you have written sounds particularly suspicious to me. Drums and developer units are intricately tied together, often making it difficult to determine which one might be at fault when a copy quality issue arises. Further, replacing either the drum or the developer independently can cause additional issues, as the machine will make voltage adjustments to the "new" unit that will often expose issues with the "old" unit.

if this would persist you change the HVT - left side of machine ASAP.
