Drawer 2 paper setting on iR2200

Drawer 2 on the iR2200 is set to B5. I cannot change it to 11 x 17. The dial in the tray is set to 11 x 17, and the printer setup is set to 11 x 17. The display on the printer only shows B5 in all the settings. I have checked in the service mode on another iR2200 that is working correctly, and the options-cst screens are the same. If I try to print r copy 11 x 17, it does not fit on the sheet.
    Thanks,
    Steve

Check the A/B switch on the right side of the cassette just below the Blue selector wheel.
( you guys beat me to it)

Thanks for the reply! I will have to wait until Monday to check this out. The copier is located offsite and I am working over the phone with the user, and he left for the day!

Check the inch size its probably set to AB, there's a little switch on the side of the cassette right on the side of the dial. It should be set to inch size.

          Hello Steve,

Under the dial on the right side of the selector, there is a small white slide, that is I believe pushed up to register us paper sizes, and down to register the A4 B5 etc,,, paper sizes. I believe this has been accidently slid down and registering the offshore paper sizes. Paper behind the drawers has nothing to do with selection of paper sizes, but does cause jamming and non raising drawer issues.

          Happy Easter!

Drawer 2 paper setting on iR2200

                  Greetings to all,
                  I had one more "ambush"...
In the application it is useful to check up a format in the menu "Page settings". Especially it concerns files from Internet...
                  Good luck.
                  Victor.

                    Good point Victor..
I have a customer who CONSTANTLY calls me for service to their machine that keeps on jamming.
When they print the document in question from MS WORD the page setup is for A4...but if they print the document directly from MS ACCESS the page setup reverts to LTR and jams the machine.
On my last service I showed the customers exactly what the issue was an told them how to fix it.....guess what my next service call to that machine was for

Thanks for all the replies! The switch was set over to the A/B setting, and when we put it back on Inch it was back to normal.

Oze does this jam mean an error popping up on the screen saying to insert paper or something else?

When I print to my IR3300 (high end machine in IR2200 series) I have to select not only the paper size (A4) but also the tray I want to use to avoid getting an error. Could the A/B or inch switch others mention in the thread be the cause of my problem of needing to select which tray to use? I don't think it's the issue, but it's annoying to keep on getting the error asking me to feed A4 paper into the stack bypass.

Photocopying to A4 works fine without an error and my trays show up correctly as A4 and A3 on the copier.

This is generally caused by the driver on the PC. Updating Device Status from the driver screen, I believe it is on the Device Settings tab, usually takes care of this issue. But the copier is fairly stupid, when it comes to print jobs, the Page Setup & Print Driver settings have to all line up for the job to go smoothly at the copier with no intervention there by the operator to get the job printed. I instruct people that have issues to not use the default of Auto, but manually choose the drawer. Yes, I know it is supposed to work, but I have no way of making the 1's & 0's happy on the customers PC from the copier side of the equation.

                              +1 Mr.Fixit...
I always tell my customers not to leave the paper source set to auto but to manually select the correct paper size.
Also I get them to change the driver setting from "Match output size" to whatever size they intend to run.
