ir2200 color network scangear

Hi, i've got an ir2200. I've installed network scangear, i've recognize the ir2200 with th scangear tools, and it works.
I've removed it and installed the color network scangear, and the scangear tool doesn't recognize the ir2200. I've tried to give th ip address also, but it doesn't work...Help me please...i can't understand why it doesn't work. Thanks

because the ir2200 is a black and white scanner not colour

Mutually Exclusive

The Color Network ScanGear and Network ScanGear tools are mutually exclusive, meaning that the color version will not see or work with a black and white machine, and the black and white version will not see or work with a color machine. (a good thing, really...)

One huge caution: Some machines (not just Canon, by the way), are black and white printers, but are color scanners. In these cases, you need to use the Color Network ScanGear.

If you have a mix of color and black and white machines on the same network, they will peacefully coexist with each other, and will work properly.

Please be sure, though, to always use the latest version of each. I've seen tons of issues caused by using earlier versions.

the iR2020 series is able to scan in color you have to load the color scan gear. black and white scan gear will not work...

The OP is talking about the IR2200 series not IR2020. The IR2200 series is B&W both in scanning and photocopying.
