[Misc] IRA 6055 waist toner leaking from drum cleaning assembly

waist toner leaking from the drum cleaning unit. There is what i would call developer on the cleaning roller that ouches the drum. It is not your typical seal that i am used to. parts manuals don't have it listed.

What is the part number for the developer material?

Any help is appreciated.

There isn't any developer in this machine. The toner is single component. If the toner is leaking or possible noises from cleaning unit you should first check the waste toner container and look if the waste toner is backed up/clogged or if there is a mechanical problem with the auger that distributes the waste toner from the cleaning unit to the waste toner container. I'd vacuum out the cleaning unit and examine the seals, lower seal in cleaning unit maybe deformed and in need of replacement. Canon IRA6055 Service manual page 2-44 Image Formation.pdf

Examine cleaning unit and be sure nothing is broken and that the rollers are turning and distributing the waste toner out of the cleaning unit. The waste toner has a grey look to it on these types of canons.

The end of the shaft at the front of the process unit for driving the cleaner auger breaks so the little plastic gear has no drive. Vacuum the magnetic roller clean and machine runs clean for a while, then dirty again. Replace the cleaner assembly on the process unit . I've changed a few(on 8000s too)

The end of the shaft at the front of the process unit for driving the cleaner auger breaks so the gear has no drive. Vacuum the magnetic roller clean and machine runs clean for a while, then dirty again. Replace the cleaner assembly on the process unit . I've changed a few(on 8000s too). Make sure the small catch pans on the bottom of the process unit are clean also(they have drum sep claws on them)
