    Canon 1670F error message Check Toner/Drum CRG

    Hi!
    I have a Canon 1670F with an error message Check Toner/Drum CRG on display. I installed a new Developer and Drum Unit and still have the same message.
    Did some one know what could be the solution?

      In the front of the copier, at the toner cartridge opening, there is a lever that has to touch the protrusion on the toner cartridge. If the cartridge is not fully twisted to the home position, the lever will not touch the protrusion. I have run into bad toner cartridges that when the auger inside turns, it was binding with the cartridge and spinning it a few degrees away from home,, just enough for the lever to not touch the protrusion. Also if that same sensor goes bad,, it can create the same problem. Possibly dirty??? Let me know what you find out! Have a good one!
