    Local Downlevel Document

    Hello everyone

Does anybody encounter the Local Downlevel Document error?

I have ir c3200 with internal printer (ufr) connected to the router then the 7 computers and laptops connected to the hub. As per system administrator there is no server on their network. Last two weeks the machine works fine.

But now we have this Local Downlevel Document problem. I cannot make test page for this error. I cant print from MSword and other document. I can ping the machine. I uninstall and reinstall drivers but no luck.

    Any help is highly appreciated.....

    thanks

Where are you seeing this message?
This is a computer issue not a copier issue.
What's happening is the info that 's being process from the workstations can't write to that device. Check antivirus sotfware, disable it if they have any installed.

Does it only happen with M.S.
I would check and see how there hub is setup.

    Goodluck.

Thank you Screwtape for your reply.

I will visit again today with my laptop to prove to my client that the machine is OK. and the problem is on their network or workstations.

They have norton version 7.1 installed and maybe I can try to uninstall it. I will bring my own anti-virus also.

      thanks

        I solved the problem Screwtape...

I went there with my laptop and disconnect the cable of the machine from the router and connect directly to my laptop (peer to peer). Ping was successful then install driver. And I'm shocked because the Local Downlevel Document error is still there .. I thought that the problem is on the network or in workstations. Grrrrrrr..I was totally wrong....

What I did was....I CLEARED the MMI....and the machine prints smoothly...
