    IR Adv C3525i- repeating image

We replaced the black drum unit for repeating mark that was sort of similar. Went away for a short time and then came back.

Only on B/W pages. Appears on ITB so replaced that earlier today and didn't change the print out.

Attaching photos- I tried to scan but the mark wouldn't show up...

Looks like the dev assy, you can wipe the mag roller which will get rid of that but usually comes back.
    Best to replace the dev

you might want to check out the fuser unit. but my first instinct is the charge roller under the the black drum. another area of concern is the secondary transfer roller, remove it and clean under sometimes toner builds up. you can also look for some sort of build up on the steel reg roller...hope this helps

-you can usually rule out the secondary transfer roller and fuser as they should affect all colors.
-it's probably the dev unit -what's the mileage?

          the total 1 counter = 174,348

          black- 106,527
          full color- 68,614

          - didn't know anything about the previous history so with the counts we thought/hoped the ITB would take care of the mark.

Looks like the dev assy cost a few $$.

We accidentally left the original drum unit their and it got tossed...Not sure if they have OEM toner- we'll check that out on our next visit. Person who uses it was going on vacation.

We ended up replacing the black developer unit- took care of the problem.

Looked like there was some mark or something on the mag roller.
