Canon part IR-3225 toner bottle part next to lever says not a service part

The grey part with a spring next to the blue lever does not show a part # in the parts catalog there is a difference between the 3225 and 3245. It only says not a service part.
Does anyone know how to order this part?

So if the customer lost it they have to buy a new machine?

That part should never get lost, broken but not lost. They're not going to keep parts in stock that should never be damaged.

For non-service parts Canon will force you to buy the whole assembly, buy a whole new copier, or will raid a machine that they have for the part -depends on the situation.

Some parts are not in the parts catalog but may still have a part# on them somewhere; Canon would still need a # for when they create/assemble the copier.

IR 3225 is discontinued so even if you had a part # it would be difficult to buy a decent part -the plastic gets brittle and non-traditional replacement parts start to break.

Your best bet would be to find a parts copier and see if you can buy it the part. or make one yourself....but getting a customer a new copier would probably be better.

Thanks for the info. I did end up using one from another machine.
