IR3300 Scanning - Can Use DepID?

I'm trying to get an IR3300 to include in the Department ID print count pages scanned using Department ID Codes, but I can't get it to work. Any ideas?

For awhile it was being tossed around in our company to charge for scans, a new revenue stream, but we never implemented it. In the Option>User>Meter counter choices starting at 500, you will find scanning meter count possibilities. I don't think there is any way to get down to Dept ID's to narrow down who did what, just total scans month to month and then doing the math.

Ok then. Having implemented Dept IDs for photocopying replacing sheets of paper with each copy laboriously being recorded, I thought it would be good to set the copier up to charge for scans as a new revenue stream. Oh well, I guess I'll have to recommend filling out sheets of paper for scanning. Unfortunately due to the nature of the work, the scanning will be used for, making estimates would be difficult if not impossible and also potentially could be seen as unethical.

The IR3300 is a great copier, if it could push scan (or failing that if there was a twain driver for Mac), include scanning in the print count for Dept ID (or have a special Dept ID total for scanning) and the print drivers worked better in Windows it would be just about perfect.

The IR3300's last so well, that one almost believes they could work forever.

The new ir3245's and up have a scan counter..but once again..it's only total scans not limited to dept I.D's.
3300's ARE a great machine...I think many of us working on Canon's have cut out teeth on them...I started on the 2200's and worked backwards to the GP225/335/iR400 and the np series so the 2200 was a great pace to start learning.
Gimme an iR3300 to work on over an iRC6800 ANY DAY.

I've just looked in the manuals at Option>User and some of the options that come up in service mode are not listed there. Is there a more complete list available of what each thing does? I was just wondering in case one of them somehow enables counting pages scanned.

The list is fairly cryptic, but it starts in SM Chapter 5, 5-89 T. There is no further listing or explanation of items in the list as far as I know.
