Csnon ipf605 missing block

HI I just bought a used ipf605 printer. When i run a test print there are 2 blocks for each colour but for cyan only 1 block appears which is the top one. The block below is totally empty. I have run head clean and nozzle checks but makes no difference. One occasion on doing nozzle check it threw an error telling me to power off wait and restart. When i did that there were no errors but test is same missing one of 2 cyan blocks. Any ideas?

empty block or empty half block...

the issue is past the printhead.

it can be the flat cables not seating correctly ( which you can easily check)

or it can be electrical issue on carriage board or mainboard

so you are looking at replacing the head for sure + smth else

the 605 is pretty old

I would advise - move on

The test print has 2 blocks of each colour one on top of the other so top row is cyan magenta yellow
next row should be cyan magenta yellow again but cyan is missing.
then below that two rows of blacks.

worst case i will use it to print black only positives, but would be good to fix.
