Colorpass v80 prints only cyan pages ????

    Hi all
I Have a very strange problem with a colorpass v80 on a clc 1000 canon copier.

when i try to print a page (not copy) from my computer the pages prints all colours with a cyan background (the wholle page is cyan)
I Formated the V80 in case that the disk or the O/S had a problem
The format completed succesfully and i rebooted the v80,set up the colour calibration and wen it started printing the pages were all cyan again.
Please note that wen i try to make a photocopy the copiers works fine
the problem occurs only when i try to print from the computer

    Please help me !!!
    Thanks in advance

Strange to be sure,,, the only idea that comes to mind is to try reseating the scsi cable between the copier & the colorpass. Does the v80 have a "video card" plugged into the motherboard? If so, reseat that card as well. A loose connection or poor contact might give you symptoms as described. The video card is what Canon refers to as the interface card for the scsi attachment to the copier.

a Video card is instaled in the v80 i pulled it out and reistalled it again
The cable is tightened very well
i think thas something is damaged in the mainboard of the v80
The strange is that it loads normaly and passes all the diagnostic checks !!!!
      any other idea?

Did you calibrate the copier first? CCD adj, auto gradations..... This must be done because when you calibrate the RIP with the Kodak strips it uses the reader

the copier was already calibrated the problem occured after a reboot on the v80
the thing that i did as a final solution was to change the slot position of the video controler on the v80 from slot 1 to slot 2 and after the reboot it worked normaly
i dont now if it will keep working but i will let you now

Glad to hear you have resolved it. It will probably work OK now. PC cards can get poor contact some times with their sockets. Unpluging and repluging the cards scrub the contacts. Reseating cards is old school first step in PC troubleshoting.
