SST Runtime error 5

Hi guys im tryin to connect my canon to the computer for upgrading the software with SST and when I try to go to file assit mode and hit the change button the program shuts down and gives me a runtime error 5, i,ve tried this on two different computers and the same happens on both, could anyone help..Thanks

Before we get into the runtime error 5, what kind of machine are upgrading? As for the runtime error 5, this could be computer realated or the application its self. Next it could also be the way you are tyring to flash the machine. I'm not sure if you know? No offense! Take care.
