non responsive machine 4570/3570

Good Day My fellow techies,

Have a problem with 3570/4570 I have power on machine, display on machine initialize and goes to ready state, well not totally, the green ready light is not lighted and machine would respond to everything except would not show the ready light for copying process.

I am able to make copies in service mode all buttons on control panel are working, I am suspecting the system software, does anyone have any other suggestions?

I might add though that there are no error code on machine, and never had one, machine is 2 years old.

A real wild SWAG - do you hear the toner auger? If a machine is run completely out of toner it may just sit there and do "nothing". Only ask because I had one of those on an iR2200 just a couple days ago.

I taught of that but I dropped it because the machine would keep mixing as if looking for toner.

But it is worth a look into.

Well you was absolutely right, the toner was empty, and only to be told b the customer that they saw the warning about toner but ignored it.

Toner was replaced, Machine is working.
