Hi Scott, Like 11x17 asked,, what model are you seeking assistance with? Also I believe what you are talking about is blade lube,,, this is not an oil, but a white powdery substance, this powder is dusted on the clean blade edge so it will glide smoothly on the ITB belt or drum, depending on the model.

What about the developer for, cyan, magenta, yellow. Also when you change the ITB belt make sure those bias clips are touching the roller transfer. My last call on friday was one of these 6870 with light images.
As for the blade, replace it. It makes no sense to lube it, it should get replace when you change the belt and also the secondary transfer roller.

Double check the bias contacts as Screw Tape suggested. I believe there is a couple on that itb assy. Also make sure tension arms on itb are extended and you have tenion on belt.

Go into service mode function cleanning ITB Clng. This has corrected some lite issues for me after servicing itb. Its quick and easy and it might fix it.

The blade wouldnt cause lite cq but the exterior xfer rllr that Screw Tape mentioned is a possibility. At least remove it and clean the contact. If cq was normal before srvcing itb then I doubt it would be that.

If the inner xfer rllr was removed and or replaced double check that the saddle bushings that it sits in arent cracked.

Good luck and let us know

I forgot to mention the primary, corona ass'y if its all the colors. If its just the colors that look washed out and black is fine. Since black is mono component, no starter is needed. You can narrow it down and cut yourself some time.

If everything went south after you worked on itb then probably something with itb assembly....check hvt clips and contacts especially primary transfer roll and internal secondary transfer roll
