Cheapest way is to get latest system software including the latest HDFormat ift file and find a cheap hdd that is good and works and buy it in bulk.

That sounds good so long as you need to do a large volume of stuff.

Cloning isn't advisable though unless you absolutely have to because if the drive can't be formatted through SST, then if you need to format it you'll have to take it out of the copier.

It's a good idea to note down what drive you used in the copier if it's not on the v13 list so if you need to reformat the drive using sst you can without having to take it out of the copier.

There's already been several threads on this issue. It is unethical and illegal. No matter how many parts you replace in the machine it will not be as good as new. If a machine has done 1 million copies, it's done 1 million copies, end of story. Making a quick buck by deceiving a customer is not a good way to do business.

Ohhh. ok sorry for the request till i know its illegal to reset the meter. Newbie here but im not agree of deceiving our customers because we only do rental and support with charging according to meter reading. No selling. Perhaps theres another thought from my upper side.

It's perfectly simple to note down the figure each month (or however often you check it) and do some basic maths to work out how much has been used. How hard is it to do subtraction anyway? I think it's illegal to reset the meter. Even if it isn't it would make servicing the machine's harder, not to mention giving a wrong impression to a buyer if the machine is ever sold.

Hi you can edit the ift files for the Canon devices up to a certain model, thereafter you can use a cloning tool for the updated models, it works and it costs you much less.
