    iRC 3200 wrong firmware?

So, I recently purchased a used irc3200 2 days ago and the machine works but it seems to have the wrong firmware installed. The reason that I think it has the wrong software on the unit is that there are 4 paper drawers but using the touchscreen and even the print dialog boxes from any computer only show 2 drawers. There is also a finisher attached with a stapler but neither the touchscreen nor any print dialog boxes show options for stapling.

On another note, or possibly related to the wrong software, the finisher jams all of the time and the only way to get successful prints/copies is to re-direct all to 'tray A'.

From the touchscreen, if this helps, the device configuration is as follows...
    product name: iR C3200
    main board: 3
    controller version: 1103.501.1102
    scanner version: 401.401
    finisher version: {blank}

Thank you so much for looking

Are you sure the finisher and paper cassette are plugged in. I'm at home and dont have any manuals handy but if I remember correctly the main power lead goes to the left hand side of the 3200. Two smaller captive cables one on the right and one on the left go from the paper cassette to the copier. The finisher plugs into a socket on the copier.

The machine will jam as the finishers not recognised.

From my experience its impossible to get the wrong firmware loaded on unless someones swapped the hard drive from a differnt machine, In that case I doubt the copier would start up at all.

      Thank you for the response.
I believe that the finisher is plugged in correctly. On the finisher, there are two cables. One is just attached to itself... is thin and kind of looks like a phone line. Cannot be removed, I assume this is what would make the paper cassette move up and down for large jobs.
The other cable coming out labeled 'molex' and it is plugged into the only spot on the back of the copier that it will reach to. It goes to the back close to where the main power cable is attached.

There is also a 'molex' cable on the back of the copier that comes out of the main unit on the lower left (if you are looking at the copier from behind) that is not plugged into anything.

Thanks again for the fast response. Any insight as to why it can't recognize all 4 paper drawers?

Theres a pair of connectors above this molex cable they may have plastic covers on, remove the lower cover and plug the molex in there.

Make sure the powers off when you do this.

            Cable arrangement

I visited one of my accounts to take this picture for you. It shows the proper cabling to make sure the pedestal and the finisher are recognized.

            Happy cabling!

              You Are All Gods

Thank you all so much for your help! All of the cables on the lower right of the unit were all plugged in correctly (just like in mrfixit51's image ...thank you for that!), however on the back left of the unit there was that other cable that was just hanging out. In the image you can barely see it but it is going up somewhere so I plugged it into the only spot that it could possibly go and sure enough, that was the trick.

Again, thank you all so very much.
