    E020-0334 iRC3220N

i recently changed the a new CYAN drum for my iRC3220
and after I on the machine, this error come out.

a look on the service manual show faulty / open circuit
    on the SALT sensor.

I did the ff while troubleshooting.

put back the old cyan drum - error never comes out, made me think the drum is faulty. however, when I put the new cyan drum into another machine. the drum seems ok and no error comes out.

changed the SALT sensor on the 1st machine, and put the new drum.
error E020-0334 - so i think the SALT sensor is not the fault.

changed the ITB - still error code.

    any suggestions? thanks!

I know you tried the drum in two machines you put back the old one and there was no problem, this might state that nothing is wrong with the machine. I would try one more drum or replace them all. If the drum life is high but they are no image faults, change them all at the same time anyway.

      Title : E020 sub code 0124/0224/0324/0424 Problem :
After replacing a drum(s) in the C3200 an E020 occurs with one of the following sub codes: 0124/0224/0324/0424. If the original drum is reinstalled the error code goes away and if another new drum is installed the E020 returns.

      Solution :
Make sure the service cover inside the front door of the machine is installed and that the actuator for the SALT/Pattern Reader cover is not broken. When a new drum(s) is installed in the C3200 the machine immediately tries to make image pattern, density, and atr corrections, if the service cover is not installed or is broken an E020 may occur.
NOTE: Other symptoms can include poor copy quality or E020's with 0181 sub codes, see knowledgebase articles 46071 and 49356 for more information
