    IRC 5185 Paper Jam

Hello guys hope all is well question 5185 paper jam at PS26 but no paper found, replaced the sensor the flag is working. Took out the right side assembly where PS26 is located noticed that the connector was bent from the user slamming the assembly close. Got it to work for about a week but the jam came back so not sure what to do at this point, if someone can point me in the right direction thanks in advance.

    jam

what is the jam code? ps 26 is the reg sensor, is that the sensor you tested? My guess is the paper is not leaving the cassette. If the count is high it is possible to have the sensor arm wear out at the cassette causing timing issues on ltr. maybe try switchng pick up assemblies, different size paper. More info would help, good luck!

      paper Jam

Thanks for taking the time to look at my post, the jam code is 0A05 I went into the DC-Con P007 bit 2 and its at one. The bit is not changing state it stays at one I changed the sensor no luck same result.

If it isn't the sensor and there is no change of state I would suspect the wiring, but the easier choice is put in a new DC con. If that doesn't fix it take it back out and trace the wiring. I would carefully cut the wire ties between the sensor and the DC con, look for pinches and connector issues, such as loose connections, pins pushed out, paper caught in the drawer connector at the frame.
Is the glass half full or half empty? I say neither. The glass is obviously full, full of potential. The potential to hold more water or the potential to quench a thirst. Life is all about how you see it.

I have not checked this particular sensor in the I/O section, one thing I have found occasionally is that some of these port address are not correctly identified in wiring diagrams or the tables. It would be good if you can verify on a working machine of the same model that the port address you are checking changes state when activated. You may want to get out the trusty meter to check for state change at the sensor.
