how to reset the canon iR 1600 from system error E 007?

the canon iR 1600 shows system error e007, the replacement of film on heating unit is done succesfully and the machine was ok. then it comes again can I reset it by using any reseting procedures or i have to replace the film again?

Marc & Luther are correct, there is no E007 code listing for the ir1600,2000,2010 family in the sevice manual, please repost your message after re-verifying the correct model number.

you are right that the machine model number was not correct but the fault was there.

the machine is canon iR 2020 and not 1600.

but after several time of on/off now it displays "download stanby" message only.

For the E007. Did you put back the green jam release lever when you replaced the film.

For the download standby, you might have corrupt firmware,
or did you add a printer kit. The firmware should be v60.02 if you are installing the updated Printer Kit-J1 .

no any kit added to iR 2020

i didnot install, attach or add any hardware to the machine but only tried to reset the machine but unfortunately it then display the download standby

Sounds like you need a new HDD.

Do you have to reset the error code after a 007 Error?

Download Mode

What you need to do is to update or reload firmware starting always from BOOT then MAIN anf final OPTION, if you version is low then v15.99, please update first using a v15.99 tool, then you can use BOOT 60.02 and MAIN 64.01. Remember that all steps must to be following by switching of and on the unit pressing the botton nr 2 for service mode.

you need to reinstal the firmware on your machine, And for the E007 check if the new film is rotating in the same speed as the presure roller, check if you mounted the film sensor corectly, and if the sensor is reading the corect end of the film ( it schould be the one whit a white square on it).

hi...there is amistake with the model my dear..the IR 1600 does not have any fixing film it is working with the traditional teflon heat roller so it can not be 007...may you mean other model working with the fixing film method any way this error happen because of the fixing film broken or not moving right or the fixing film speed sensor has malfunctioned...i hope it is help
