    iR3570 error scanning to folder

We have an iR3570 that we are trying to scan to a windows 2003 folder. We are getting End Code error 755. And the file never copies to the folder. We can scan to email with no issus.

    Any Ideas?

Is the machine configure with a correct ip address or is there a ip address set at all.

    #755
You cannot send jobs because TCP/IP is not functioning correctly.
    IP address is not set.
When the machine was turned on, an IP address was not
obtained from the DHCP, RARP or BOOTP server.

Check the TCP/IP setting on the Additional Functions screen.
    Configure a correct IP address.
Check and verify that the DHCP server is working
properly and there are enough IP address in the pool for
the server to issue to the devices on the network.

Email uses a whole different protocol, the SMTP server.

The copier has a proper IP address (static), Subnet and Gateway. We are using the internal DNS.

From a client workstation we can access the control panel through the internet explorer. From the copier we can browse the domain and the server to where we want to store the files.

Do you get any other codes?
        What about security, firewall, etc

Originally the location was a linux based NAS that the folder was wide open. Then I tried a 2003 server, and a vista workstation. All folders were full control to "everyone" both share and NTFS permissions. Windows firewall is disabled on the machines as long as they are on the domain. All the devices are on the same ip subnet.

Scan to SMB will error out with #755 even with the proper user credentials and directory permissions.

Have you checked "LM Announce" while making your SMB settings on the imageRUNNER device/ SMB server settings, maybe this will help.

After turning on LM Announce, reboot the copier and your push scan a document and see if it will work.

Just wanted to confirm this solution works for my issue with IR3230. Thanks, SCREWTAPE!
