i recently swapped out an irc 3100 for a customer because of its high meter. after rolling in the new machine i transfered over the user information so it could print and scan, which works fine. i was unable to access the machine through the rui. i updated the rui through sst, but am still unable to access the machine remotely. what am i overlooking?

I'm not sure on 3100 not near manual but some Canons in service mode...i believe somewhere in options... you can enable or disable the RUI...on the driver can you get machine status? Bi-directional turned on also. I usually MMI every machine before I install it and set it up. Could be in additional functions(user) for RUI...can't remember....don't see many 3100s anymore -
Did you reinstall all software files, system,language and rui. What version is the machine running on? Additional function>system settings is where you will find the rui settings that Canuck mention.Comment
