SST is not specifically just for the IR3300. And it's the Service Support Tool not the Software Support Tool. SST is the program used to install the Canon IR3300 firmware onto the copier, but SST is also used to install firmware on lots of other canon copiers.

Why do you need it? If you mention why you need it, you're more likely to get instructions suited to your situation.

Are you getting any errors? Are you trying to install a network kit? What's the problem?

I have the IR 3300 giving the error code E602-003. So I wanted to reinitialise the harddisk. For that I wanted the SST.

Right. If you haven't already you can try pressing 1 and 9 when you turn the copier on. This will do a hard drive scan possibly making the drive usable again then format the hdd and load firmware using sst. The hard drive scan may take a while. If this doesn't work you'll need to replace the hdd. Even if it does work the drive will probably fail soon so be prepared to replace it.
As this is a very old copier to use the SST with it you will need a nethawk cable (Screwtape posted the new part # in a thread recently) or a IEEE1284 bi-directional parallel cable.

There is different firmware depending on whether it has a N boot rom installed or not. If your copier was working normally you could press the counter check button. If it says IR3300(IR2200) it doesn't have it, if it says IR3300(IR2200N) it does.

If you can get into service mode go to Copier > Display > Version > BOOT-ROM. If the number has a N next to it, it uses N firmware otherwise not.

If your copier has a N boot rom it will almost certainly have a NIC (aka ethernet port) as well. Hopefully this is enough information to tell whic firmware you need to use.

I am get an error 602 0001 on ir3300 copier i have service support tool v2.01 i wanted to know how restore the hard drive and from where to get the firmware.
