    I.R.C6800

This Canon ir 6800 keeps rebooting in the middle of a copy or print job. I did have the main controller and dc controller out because of a toner problem E-013. I was really careful when reinstalling the boards. I check the connectors.I did not have this problem before i got there. If you have had rebooting problems on this machine, can you let me know.Just a side note they have an E-copy scan share thats throwing a 9001 code when scanning.I do not know if that's part of the problem or not. Thanks

Does the eCopy unit give the error before or after is scans the original?

What I mean by that is does the error seam to be related to the "act" of scanning, or perhaps more when it goes to send the scan to folder, email, etc..,

Another thought; did you try an MMI clear? (Be sure to back up you settings first, of course.)

I've seen MMI clears fix all kind of goofy little issues like this.

Well check all, connectors, boards, ETC, that were removed
Check for pinch wires. Check Dimms, check HDD.
What ever you took out make sure everything checks normal.
As you said you did not have this problem before.
Check the the connectors that supply power to the Main controller.

Sounds like a memory issue. Try cleaning and reseating both DIMMS on the main controller. If this doesn't work, reflash the machine. If you still have the issue, replace the memory and reflash the machine. Part numbers are: WA7-3069-000 for the 256M and WA7-3157-000 for the 512M.

Just a thought because of your scanning error. Did you reboot the machine and the ecopy?

Unfortunately Ecopy doesn't put there technical trouble shooting documention out there. Canon does not support Ecopy. You will have to call Ecopy or just reinstall the program, just get administrator info first.
