    Canon 2200 help

I am considering taking on a new account yet they have over a dozen 2200's. As I just took on the Canon line a couple of years ago I dont have any experience with the 2200. Hopeing you guys can let me know how dependable this box is or any known problems you have run into. Thanks for any information!

They are awesome. Some copiers in the IR2200 series have been known to do millions of copies.

The 2200, 2800 and 3300 are all in the IR2200 series.

It may not be as feature rich as newer models but they do the job they're meant to do very well.

One thing to be aware of is that when using SST you'll need to use a nethawk (special usb-to-parallel from Canon) cable or an IEEE1284 bi-centronics parallel cable.

Agree with both the previous posts. have seen alot of these boxes going through the "wholesale" market usually with minimal probs that usually are maint related. they seem to be a "runner" maint issues are reasonable. this acct would probably be a "good one" what happened to previous provider??? good luck jp

They are great little boxes but do not include the HDD's in the contract. They tend to crap out if they are left in an enviroment that is less than the monthly allowance.

Yes , the iR series of 2200 2800 and 3300 HDD is the main regular problem everyone is facing....other then that is very trouble free machine....if you could then get 3300i better still which they could push scan directly into PDF.

Pretty much the above. I had several that were 1 million plus and they run fine.

Besides the hard drive the only other things that will ding you from time to time is the fixing film coating or issues with the paper feed unit.
