canon imageclass mf 6550

this canon imageclass mf 6550 is making completely blank copies. i tried a new drum unit and the problem remained. i stopped the machine in the middle of the copy process and didn't see an image on the drum. i assume the hvu could be bad. has anyone ever seen this problem. please help

I have seen this. More than likely your laser shutter is not camming back. Remove the cover that the paper comes out on and you will see what I am talking about. There is an updated laser shutter to prevent this.
