    IR3300i Network Card Upgrade

    Hello,

I am wondering if the network card in an image runner 3300i can be upgraded to a 1GB connection? We do alot of scanning and I'm sure the change from 100 to 1000 would speed things up.

All computers and switches run at 1gb.

    Thanks,
    Daniel

    I pretty much doubt it.

That card is about as proprietary as they come.

Canon want people to upgrade to user newer machines. Even if you could get a gigabit NIC that worked you would still need Canon to have firmware loaded that can handle gigabit speeds or it would just run at 100 megabit speeds.

I would be interested in gigabit NIC's as well but I don't think Canon will want to add features to machines it wants people to throw out in favour of buying new ones.

Be content with the speeds you have for the moment.
