Yes, keep giving these non-technician/home user detailed help and your industry will go the way of the construction industry where you can go to Home Depot and do everything yourself.

It's pretty clear in the service manual if you have one where the waste toner bottle is.

Is on the left hand side of your machine...lower left beside your left cover( fuser ) , release 1 screw and slide out the tank

          Thanks

Read the header on this site:

Well, you all just beat somebody out of a service call. Business is so good for everyone that they can afford to give business away? This guy is never going to come here again unless he has another problem, and then you'll be chomping at the bit to help him.

And before you all go off and say that I sell service manuals to anyone who comes to my sites, I have been in the manual business for about 8 years now and I have tons of manuals. I go through every manual that I receive and I can't tell you the first thing about copier repair even though I am certified on HP, Lexmark and Xerox laser printers. Printers and copiers are not all that similiar after all. Having a service manual does not make one a technician. A little knowledge is dangerous. I actually give you guys and gals more business, somebody buys a manual from me, fubar's their machine, then they call a tech.

              Hummmm

Interesting take you have. Canon does not sell the manuals to just anybody and unless you have a copyright agreement with Canon (which you may) ...

As for creating business for us, not trying to start an arguement but that is sort of like a bank robber telling the security guard he is helping provide them jobs. Oh well, to each his own.

Do you see any Canon manuals on my sites?

I have over 700 of them.
