I've heard of this drive before Canuck. Any sellers that sell internationally to Australia. I can't seem to find anywhere that has stock in Australia.

    What about the higher capacity Seagate 5400.3 drives? e.g. 120GB , 160GB ST91608218A and ST9120822A

I've seen a document showing them all in this series. See http://www.seagate.com/support/disc/...100398877a.pdf

The 120GB and 160GB look easy to get in Australia. Would like to know if anyone knows if they work. I'd like to get a few hdds so I have some available when a hdd fails.

For the drive you mentioned I've been told the following works (not sure if it's this one specifically or whether they changed multiple entries and didn't realise):

    HDWN 'ST980815A '
    HDPI 0000000063442C00A9B21E9A01000000
    FE060001003F0ABF340C000000000080
    FE060B81344B0FFFFAC500800000003F
    FE0610C12F10D3FF0BC400C000000030

I haven't used the bigger drives in the 5400.3 series..probably would work. Like I said I just paste 'ST980815A over top the HDWN of each 'ST... drive...in your sample there was a " ' " after the last A...there shouldn't be. I do believe it is the HDPI that ends in "0021". I'm totally on the other side of the planet than you...I'm in Canada...so I don't know where to get them over there. I'll look into it...guarantee you can order it on-line somewhere

It must have been a formatting error copying it across. The ' after the A should be further to the right as it is in the ift file.
