    How to Tranfer mail box content in IR 8070 to Computer

    Hi Pls any one describe the details of Network connection to sent the scan or stored document to the computer. I have tried different ways but i am cannot send the document. Getting TCp/ip Error.

      You could try printing the document then scanning it in.

            bnmand had the best suggestion; print the document out, then scan it back in (assuming that you have Universal Send on your iR8070).

            The format which the Mailbox feature uses for stored files is proprietary, and can only be used to print the file.

            I had the exact same situation on an iR C3200 a few years ago. The customer wanted to print their docs to the Mailbox, and them fax them out through the 3200 when customers requested them. Great idea, but unfortunately it doesn't work that way. I even called the Canon help line at the time to verify.

            Not sure if newer machines work the same way or not.

              Hi Abkonnet,
              For Canon, you can not send mailbox content to your PC as PDF file.
              However, you still can see that content in mailbox by web browser and save them to PC into file format tiff, bmp or jbg.
              Note: To see files that stored in mailbox, you have to install JBIG software for web browser.
