we have an irc3580i which the customer has paid for to have the j1 controller put on it - however the rip is tested & known to be good - the 3580i doesnt seem to register it - i have changed int cont to 3 but always says the ' wait blah blah blah' when i hit the radio tab for printer - canon u.k are no help at all - either they say not supported / or should work

Just a thought but what version software is on the Fiery,according to the docs I have,the 3580 is supported by version 1.1,not 1.0.

thanks for that! i think the clue is in the name on that sheet is doesnt mention the 'i' version anywhere

re-read it - dont supose anyone has the 1.1 firmware?
