Sorry don't have the service manual just a list of the error codes

E025 Error in the toner motor
0000 Indicates an error of Y developing assembly toner supply
0001 Indicates an error of M developing assembly toner supply
0002 Indicates an error of C developing assembly toner supply
0003 Error of Bk developing assembly toner supply
    0100 Y buffer supply error
    0101 M buffer supply error
    0102 C buffer supply error
    0103 Bk buffer supply error

Check on connection of the toner motor and the DC
controller PCB, Replace the DC controller PCB,
    Replace the toner motor

The iR1600 range don't scan, Canon never designed them too. If your customer requires scanning then upgrade to an iR2200, there are lots of these available 2nd hand and they are still going strong.

    Hope this helps a bit.

An E025-xxxx error code is displayed on the control panel.
        1. When the toner cartridge is replaced during a "Toner low" indication, residual toner splashes from the cartridge shutter and contaminates the photo-sensor. The toner cartridge should be replaced when "No toner" is displayed.
        2. Defective Drum Unit
        3. Blocked Toner Pipe (High Humidity / High Temperature Environment)
        4. Loose / Faulty Wiring
        5. Faulty / Dirty Toner Feed Level Sensor
        6. Faulty Toner Supply Motor
        7. Defective Connecting PCB Unit
        8. Defective DC Controller PCB Assembly

        Action
        1. Change the service mode setting so that the iR will NOT indicate the "Check toner level" message to customers [COPIER > OPTION > BODY > TNR-WARN > 1]*.
          Settings
          0: The warning is displayed.
1: The warning is not displayed.
[Factory setting/value after clearing RAM: 0]
          *NOTE: See TB6199
for additional information regarding this setting.
        2. Check for a broken or jammed toner supply auger on the Drum Assembly.
        3. Check the toner holes on the Drum and Hopper Assembly. Use a vacuum to clear any blockage found.
Check for loose or pinched wires on the Connecting PCB Unit at J551 and J552.
        4. If the Toner feed motors (M8 through M11) can be activated in service mode under PART-CHK, suspect a fault at the Toner feed level sensor. First clean the sensor, if found to be faulty replace it with a new one:
          • PS3 through PS5: Toner feed level sensor (WG8-5772-000)
          • PS6: Toner feed level sensor for black (FK2-0149-000)
        5. Replace the Toner Supply Motor and check the connectors at the DC Controller PCB. Use the chart below as a reference.
        6. Replace the Connecting PCB Unit (FM2-8266-000)
        7. Replace the DC Controller PCB Assembly:
        iR C3380 Series: FM2-8263-000
        iR C3580i Series: FM2-8281-000

        Thanks

          Thanks for replies.
When PART-CHK motor strart turning for a sec. and then stops.
It was dirty sensor on Cyan toner motor under hooper assy.
Bad construction putting sensors there. Machine have 7K full color and 10K black copies on counters and there was too much toner under every hooper.
If not cyan it would be some other wery soon.

          Thanks again

            Easy to fix.
Toner from the Magenta falls into a sensor.
Take out the waste box and the cover that covers the board.
If you look and the Magenta sensor area you will see toner over the sensor,
Just give it a blow out and I bet 99.9% this will fix it.
When you take the cover off you will see Magenta toner in the cover.
This is a comon problem on this machine.

There is a modified cover to stop toner falling onto the sensors.
