    Imagerunner 4080i error.. e000007-0211

Hello.. I just picked up a Imagerunner 4080i from a local business that was closing.. The copier worked when I tested it, but since I moved it into my office I get the error code e000007-0211... Does anyone know what this error is? Also is there a website that lists the error codes?

    Thanks for the help

E007-0002/E007-0201 : Pressure belt position sensor connector has poor contact, Pressure belt displacement control drive gear breaks, or Pressure belt HP sensor flag spring is detached.
Dont know how many copies on the fixing assy but it maybe time to replace.

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me how I can get to the pressure belt and sensors on this model? This machine has around 80k total on the meter.

You have to order the whole fixing unit as a part...we don't refurb the fusers on this model as a rule.
My advice is to order the unit WITH the belt displacement assembly...especially if you're not familiar with this model.
And if you're not a technician you will most definitely need to leave the job to a tech.

I always hate to tell anybody when it comes time to replace a fixing assy. If the machine has 80k, then the original fixing ass'y was removed.
This unit should last anywhere from 250k to 300k and must be replace entirely as one whole unit. This is where I hate to say it. To replace this unit, its going to cost you $1200 or more depending where you get from, plus if your not a tech a service fee will be added, and you are going to have no choice but to have a tech repair it.

Thanks for all the replies. With that error message does that mean it's
defanitly the fixing assembly? Is there any chance of if being something minor?

I've worked on these models from the beginning-you'll have to call in a technician.

You need a new fixing unit.
                  You can not fix them.
You need a engineer to replace it.
                  Will take 20min to replace,
                  Will cost $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
They should last 300k but I have had loads go wrong under 150k.

Please, do yourself a favor, and get a qualified tech to look at this before you try ordering a fixing unit.

I just looked... Precision Roller wants $2600 for it.

Do you have a service agreement with your local Canon dealer?
If not then you may be up for the price of the fuser,a travel fee and the hourly rate of the tech...you might be looking at $3000.
This is the type of machine that NEEDS to be under a service agreement as toner alone could set you back $300 per color.
