Change the complete fuser assy as one of the themistors has gone open circuit, just by ordering up the single parts costs the same as bbuying the complete thing if ufr and lfr are required, reset the code *28* function ,clear ,error, hope that does the trick, regards Steve c

ok I got in service mode
          function-clear-err
then the computer went down (red light went out) only green pwr light on

on reboot, error code is still there, probs getting into service mode again
          but interestingly

if I dont get into service mode within about 30 seconds
computer shuts down (red error light goes out) only power light is on

I will try more tomorrow but thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you still have the error. After error released, the copier would boot up normal, but the error is repeating. May not be the fuser- I have gotten e002, e004 errors from the sensor/micro switch assembly that mates with the fuser when the tray is pushed in. That area needs to be cleaned of caked toner, and dust. If 2 different fusers are giving the same problem, I would check that area!
