    ir 3300 curled paper

here in sunny florida, i have many cutomers with humid paper. most machines deal with it pretty well accept when it comes to duplexing. i try to explain to the customers how humid paper curles when it is heated in the fuser and this problem is amplified on duplex, but i think sometimes the wall would understand better! i turn the fuser temp down to try and help, but that only goes so far. is there anything else i can do? i know its not the fault of the machine, but the customers just dont get it! thanx

during monsoon some customers pre-heat the paper , ofcourse its practical only if volumes are low. You could also switch paper with less water content. Might go haywire with the costs but would get the job done.
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

ltr r is more reliable, but getting the customer to understand why is a whole other thing!

It's very difficult for customers to accept that the environment can be a very huge factor in the reliability of a machine...

I had a problem with paper.
I got a fresh packet of there paper and after 2 copies I had a PJ.
I got a fresh packet of better quality of there paper and ran 200 copies no PJ.

Then I said see and they said oh yes!

If they have a paper problem not much you can do but arm yourself with better paper and show them.

Heat the papers by putting them in a cardboard box with a 40W incandescent bulb installed in it. The bulb should be at least 2 inches above the paper. This will solve your problem.
